Vinted App Review: Buy, Sell, and Swap Clothing From Your Own Closet

First and foremost, I stumbled upon Vinted while I was scrolling through my Facebook. Might I add that I find it funny how they strategically place ads so that you get that thought in your mind that says, "Hey, I wonder what this app is like". Haha, so I couldn't help it, I then clicked and downloaded the app. Initially, the app was kind of confusing. There were so many things going on at once, (buying, selling, shopping, swapping, gifting, etc.). So, I think that the best way to describe this app is that it is sort of like an online yard sale, except instead of only buying and selling things you can swap and give away things as well.

Ultimately I found it very fun to look through my closet and find things that I don't necessarily want or need anymore, and turn it into money or things that I actually want or need. More specifically, I had this designer bag in my closet for forever that I had never worn because it was a gift and wasn't really my style, and by the end I ended up with a different designer bag that was completely "me".

Overall, I give this app a rating of 10/10, especially if you really enjoy clothing, accessories, shoes, and other things that fit in those categories. Heck, I could even say that I'm pretty much addicted. I can't help but check the app every 20 minutes just to see if anything has changed.

Receiving My "Foreign eBay" Clip In Hair Extensions

So, as you all know from my previous post I decided that I really wasn't too ecstatic about the length of my natural "God-given" hair; considering that my hair had only grown to be about shoulder length over the past six months. So, I decided I wanted to invest in hair extensions. The only bad thing about my decision in buying hair extensions was that these puppies could sometimes cost hundreds of dollars. Also, there was the fact that I am a college student, and paying for anything that isn't considered "needed" can be difficult for me to do, especially with my financial status in mind. So, I decided to check Ebay, and personally, I'm not new at all to eBay. eBay is where I tend to find most of the things that I sometimes cannot afford otherwise. So, after logging onto eBay I searched, and I searched, and when I finally found some hair extensions that I could afford (considering that they were $27 for a set of 7 piece clip in hair extensions) I jumped right on purchasing them.

Naturally I was very excited after purchasing my extensions, I mean it's not everyday that you get such a good deal like the one I thought that I was receiving. It was only when my extensions arrived in my mailbox that my excited feelings got completely crushed. First of all, the extensions did miraculously match my natural hair color, which was not the reason for my dismay. The reason why I was so dissatisfied with my extensions was because the wefts looked pitiful. With most hair extensions you can hold them up, and barely see through them, but these hair extensions looked patchy, and had very little hair sewed into them. So, I then decided that I could just buy a few other sets to try and fix the horrible mess that I got myself into, but this definitely did not work to my satisfaction either. Finally, to get my hair to look at least normal I had to put 21 wefts in my hair, and in the end my hair still did not look full nor thick. In fact, my hair looked very thin, and scraggly.

Overall, I would definitely recommend that if you are looking for hair extensions that you DO NOT try to take the "easy road", and buy cheap hair extensions. Even if you are not very financially endowed like I have found myself I would definitely recommend that you save up your money and buy a nice set of extensions. I found out that hard way, especially in this case "you get what you pay for".
