Apple iMac Review From a Not-So Computer Genius

Hey guys! If y'all read my blogs at all you would know that I just got an iMac. My iMac is the 2009 27" model that I purchased from Ebay, and after using it for over a month I thought that I could share my opinion on it.

First of all, I'm so glad that I purchased my iMac on Ebay because I got the exact product that I wanted with no damage at all for hundreds of dollars less than I would have paid anywhere else. (Yeah that's right I'm not too good to say that I use Ebay to find things for a discounted price.)

Anyways, when my iMac arrived via UPS the first thing I noticed was that the 27" display was beyond perfect. Yeah I thought that 27 inches was going to be a bit on the large side, but I never imagined that it would look as big as it did especially sitting in my small room. That's ok though; I find my choice of a big screen to be a wise one. This is because with all this space on my screen I find it a lot easier to do more than one task at once. I can have one window on the left, and still have plenty of room on the right. Plus, the screen always has the brightest prettiest colors in it's display. In fact, when I turn my iMac on in the dark my whole room is illuminated in bright colorful lights. The negative side to this may be that the display can sometimes come off as too bright, but if you figure out how to turn the brightness down in the settings then that tiny flaw can be fixed easily. (System Preferences>Displays)

Another perk to having an iMac is that the iMac is an all in one desktop meaning that there is no pesky tower to deal with. So this means that there is only one chord to plug into the wall making the iMac have more mobility.  It also comes in handy that the keyboard and mouse are both operated by bluetooth so you do not have to plug them in either.

Finally, one downfall to the iMac is that it's not as easy to use versus a windows computer. For example, navigation may take a few days to get use to. I know that the first day that I got my iMac I immediately started using it for homework, and was completely lost when I went back to find the files that I had saved.

So, all-in-all I think that the iMac is a great computer to have if you are a little more familiar with computers, and how they work. On the other hand, if you're not so familiar with computers and how they work I would definitely recommend a Windows computer unless you would really like to spend a while figuring out how to navigate, and operate an iMac. If so, then good luck!

Thanks!

Buying Hair Extensions on Ebay: Do or don't?

So, I've been wanting hair extensions for at least a year now, and this past week I decided I couldn't wait a second longer. The only problem was that I didn't have much money to spend on them so my first thought was to look on Ebay. Yeah I know some people may call me crazy, but Ebay has continually been my savior when I wanted things but really couldn't afford them in stores.

So...after a while of browsing I finally found some clip in human hair extensions for a very low price. Now, most people may think that lower prices automatically means a lesser quality in the product, but I have found over the years of using Ebay that this theory was not always the case. So, I decided to order a couple set's of extensions.

Next, people may wonder how I chose the right color, and the truth is I have no idea. I looked at the pictures that were provided, and pretty much guessed. This may sound crazy, but I knew going into this that there was going to be a very small chance that I would get the extensions that matched my real hair color, but this is exactly why I chose human hair. The fact that you can dye human hair will definitely be a good aspect for me! I was thinking that when I get them I could try them, and if they did not match I could just dye them to match my hair.

So, all-in-all I am very excited to see what quality I got for the amount I paid. I have my fingers crossed.

Also, if anyone has comments about buying extensions on Ebay, or dying extensions I would really love to hear it.

One last thing......

Duck Dynasty: I fell into the trap!

So, this past week I decided to see what all the hype was about. It seemed like every single one of my friends were just crazy about Duck Dynasty, and after hearing about it for several weeks, maybe even months I decided to finally watch it. While watching the first episode I found myself literally laughing out loud. I mean I don't know how these rednecks could be so funny. Now, I can really say I'm hooked. I even have myself quoting Uncle Si on my Facebook.

Example:
I think I worry too much, maybe I need to take some words of wisdom...."Hey, there’s way more important things to worry about. Hey, Y2K, shark attack, lead paint, Dakota Fanning, smallpox, Woodstock, moonshot, Watergate, punk rock, rock and rollers, cola wars, hey, I can’t take this anymore.” -Silas Robertson

Overall, it's an awesome show, so go ahead and watch it, you know you want to!!!

Olay® Fresh Effects {Va-Va-Vivid!}

Let me just say, Olay® Fresh Effects {Va-Va-Vivid!} left my skin incredibly soft. I loved the little motorizing scrubbing brush! The unique triangular shape really got those hard-to-reach places. After I used this product for the first time, I doubt I will use many if any other brands of facial scrubs. One last thing, this product really lived up to it's name! It made my skin "vivid".

Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray

I received this product in Influenster's Sweetheart VoxBox. I tried this for the very first time and I absolutely loved it. When I decided I wanted wavy hair for the day I would put a really good amount of the spray on my damp hair and start to blow dry while scrunching my hair up. Finally by the time my hair was dry I had voluminous wavy hair without it looking greasy the way that most scrunched hair looks. I was going to buy this product on my own, but didn't want to waste my money on something that would look silly on my short thin hair. The truth is that this spray works good on long hair, and even if you have short hair like me it looks fabulous as well.

My Beagle: going from hating dogs to loving them.

So, let me just start out by saying that I've never really been a "dog person". I always thought dogs smelt, and I have this thing where my hands always have to be clean and dogs definitely do not go by this rule. I have not liked dogs from when I was younger up until I got this crazy idea...

My fiancé and I were together at the time for a year and I thought what better way to become closer than to get a dog. The only other option was having a baby and I'm not graduated from college yet so I decided that wouldn't be smart. So we looked on Craigslist for a dog with no preferences besides the fact that we wanted a medium sized dog. After a week or so we finally found a dog that was perfect. There was a man who was selling beagles and I decided I had to have one. The first time I saw my puppy she was so thin and dirty looking. Regardless of the fact that I had a clean hands policy I picked her right up and my fiancé paid for her. I think that was the second I fell in love with her and became a "dog person".

So, on the way home we decided her name would be Molina after our favorite baseball player Yadier Molina who plays for the St. Louis Cardinals. Ever since My fiancé and i love her more and more every day.

I think she loves us too...

Molina does this every single time Zach gets home from work and she won't stop barking and whining until he lays down and let's her cuddle him.
